MEDICAL QIGONG

Pronounced "Chee Kung" literally translates to working with the energy of life.

The word Qigong houses two ideas, “Qi” means air, breath of life, or vital energy that flows through all things in the universe. While “Gong” means the skill of working with, cultivation, or self-discipline. Medical Qigong (MQ) is another branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine which works energetically on the body by addressing the: mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects. The difference between Qigong and Medical Qigong is that a practitioner of MQ works directly with the patient as a course of treatment and Qigong is considered a self discipline exercise, training or a therapeutic activity.

Medical Qigong treatments consists of diagnosis, cleansing, purging, and tonifying the: Lungs, Liver, Heart, Spleen, and Kidneys, along with the Reproductive, Urogenital organs and an area named the Yellow Court. Once the body has rid itself of unwanted qi or emotions this allows the body to function optimally and with ease in reaching our highest potential and health goals.  The use of a combination of: guided placement of hands on treatment, subtle and gentle internal organ massage, meditations, breathing exercises, color or sound therapy, manipulation of the patient’s qi and energy internally and externally through meridian pathways, and Qigong exercises.  

Medical Qigong for: stress reduction, relief of physical or emotional traumas, headaches, physical pains, post operative care, post chemo or radiation treatment, and many other health concerns. Medical Qigong is a natural approach to health & longevity and can be used as treatment or as a source preventative healthcare on all levels: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.
